I think part of it is being really flexible and being able to be reactive to clients needs.  I think that when you know how every line of code works in your solution you can more quickly achieve something that really suits your client and the whole process can be really rewarding.

		<description>As someone who has worked almost exclusively with Plone and Drupal over the last few years, I have often wondered why anyone would roll their own CMS - often starting from scratch each time. I recently had a very enlightening conversation with a design agency about how they always design a CMS interface along with the site, so they can provide a really slick tailored editing experience along with the site, with no superfluous features. I thought about it for a while and decided it would be easier/quicker to go down the custom route rather than customise Plone or Drupal - so yet another custom CMS will be born - and i&#039;m rather looking forward to building it :)</description>
